Take T.W.O. (trust, worship, obey) is an after-school program sponsored by Pearisburg First United Methodist Church for children in grades K-5.
The PFUMC church van picks up the children from Macy McClaugherty Elementary/Middle School on the second and fourth Wednesdays immediately after school and transports them to PFUMC's building at 401 Hale Street, where they can be picked up at 5:30 p.m. The children have a snack and some outside free time (weather permitting). They are then divided into groups to rotate through three activities consisting of a Bible lesson, a related craft a/o STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) activity, and a group game. We have choir and an additional story time on a related theme. Take T.W.O. follows the school schedule and does not meet during the summer months. Participation is not limited to church members.
